Actor Şekip Taşpınar, known for his role as "Cevat the Matchmaker" in the TV series Kurtlar Vadisi, passed away at the age of 56 due to a heart attack.

Şekip Taşpınar's wife, Berna Taşpınar, said that her husband went to Balıkesir to visit his sister two days ago and that he died yesterday morning as a result of a heart attack in the Altınoluk Neighborhood of the Edremit district.

Berna Taşpınar, in a statement she made in front of her house in Datça, said, "She went to Altınoluk to be with her sister two days ago. We received the news that she died of a heart attack in the morning. We are very sorry. I am also going to Altınoluk. Her body will be buried next to her mother."

Şekip Taşpınar's funeral was held in Altınoluk Neighborhood after the noon prayer today.
