Performance of investment instruments this week

After seeing a low of 10,109.02 points and a high of 11,158.05 points, the BIST 100 index closed the week at 10,941.79 points, 7.18 percent higher than the previous week's close.

The selling price per gram of 24-carat gold bullion traded in the Grand Bazaar decreased by 3.82 percent this week to 5,540 liras, while the selling price of Republic gold decreased by 3.79 percent to 37,368 liras.

The selling price of quarter gold, which was 9,648 lira last weekend, decreased by 3.81 percent to 9,280 lira.

This week, the US dollar increased by 0.04 percent to 41.9680 lira, while the euro fell by 0.32 percent to 48.8479 lira.

This week, investment funds gained 1 percent and pension funds gained 1.16 percent.

When looked at by category, the highest-yielding investment funds were stock funds with a return of 1.9 percent.
