Price fixing and discount decision in Istanbul

Güzeldere, Chairman of the Board of Directors of İstanbul PERDER (Istanbul Retailers Association), announced that they will fix the prices of thousands of products, especially basic food products, in the association's member markets during the month of Ramadan and that discounts of up to 25 percent will be applied to some products.
Güzeldere stated that they have fixed the red meat prices since January within the framework of the protocol made with the Meat and Milk Institution (ESK) and have been providing meat at affordable prices until the end of Ramadan, and emphasized that they continue to deliver meat to all households at affordable prices.
The statement said that the campaigns, which are carried out with 66 member markets and nearly 2,700 branches in Istanbul, aim to reach all households in the megacity. In the campaign, discounts will be applied to many products such as legumes, pasta, tomato paste, oil, tea, coffee, cleaning materials and prices will be fixed.
Güzeldere said that consumers can easily benefit from these campaigns by spreading their shopping over the days, stating that the campaigns are not temporary and that there is no stock shortage.
