Actor Barış Aksavaş spoke about his long-standing friendship with Törün, saying, "We've been friends for many years, 25 years. It's too soon... too soon. We're missing. We'll miss his good acting and his handsome voice. Beyond that, we were family. We truly were a family, but I mean... Uncle, aunt, children; we were a huge family, all here, hugging each other. We're missing. Of course, he's a great actor, of course, he's a great voice, of course, he's a great person, but we've lost our friend, our brother, our uncle. Our children have lost him. We're missing."

'HE WROTE A CHILDREN'S PLAY, BUT IT WAS LEFT UNFINISHED'

Aksavaş, who also mentioned the children's play that Emre Törün had prepared for the stage, said, "He wrote a play , a children's play. We were going to put it on stage, but it was left unfinished . We promised him we would put it on stage."

'A VERY EARLY LOSS'

Artist Sümer Ezgü said, “I've known Emre since Kandemir Konduk's play 'Medya Medya Neye?' He and my wife were already in the same cast. His fellow actors are here too. I think he's lost too soon. He was a valuable actor. If they performed in 100 plays with that cast, I must have seen 60 of them. It was a play that made me laugh out loud every time. I later saw Emre's successful performance in TV series as well.” Ezgü also added, “I think the Ministry of Culture, in particular, should provide support to such actors and artists during their illnesses.”

Actress Enginay Gültekin said, "This is a very early loss. We are deeply saddened. He is someone we will miss deeply. He was a very valuable person, both as a person and as an actor. We are deeply shocked and deeply saddened by this early departure. We offer our condolences to all his loved ones."

Kandemir Konduk, who worked with Törün for many years, said, "It's not easy to say anything in situations like this. He was a friend we loved dearly and lost at a young age. He was a very strong person, with a strong heart and a strong worldview , and an artist we loved very much. May he rest in peace."

'I AM CURRENTLY SURVIVING LUNG CANCER'

Konduk, who also stated that he was undergoing cancer treatment, said, "I learned about the treatment process because I'm also recovering from lung cancer. I've been bedridden ever since. You can tell from my words that I'm not very comfortable. That's the situation. Thank you."

WHO IS EMRE TÖRÜN?

Emre Törün was born in Istanbul on March 11, 1972. He started his acting career in 1996 and starred in his first TV series, Kara Melek, for four consecutive seasons.

He later appeared in many films and television series. Emre Törün portrayed the character of intelligence officer Nevzat Çankırılı in the TV series Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, which he played for three seasons between 2015 and 2017.
