'July 15 Media Program' from the Directorate of Communications

The "July 15th Media Program," organized by the International Media Coordination Office of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications as part of July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day, was attended by 81 journalists from 81 provinces and 120 members of the foreign press invited from 41 countries. During the Ankara leg of the program, which will run from July 14th to 18th, members of the press visited the July 15th Democracy Museum at the Presidential Complex. Museum Director Ali Haydar Atalar briefed the journalists on the coup attempt. Members of the press also watched the commemoration ceremony held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in attendance.

Gözde Kirişcioğlu, Head of International Coordination at the Directorate of Communications, made special remarks to Sururi Ballıdağ, who covered the special July 15th program on behalf of our newspaper. Kirişcioğlu explained that there will be programs in Ankara and Istanbul over the next three days, saying, “We are organizing this program on the anniversary of the July 15th coup attempt both to inform the world and to reiterate the importance of this day with the 81 journalists we have invited from all 81 provinces and numerous foreign journalists from abroad. The program will begin with my journalist colleagues covering the ceremonial speech of our President at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Following this, they will participate in a panel organized by our presidents tomorrow. In Istanbul, there will also be a visit to the governor's office, the July 15th Museum, and various informational meetings. I thank you for your contributions and participation in the achievement of this program's objectives.”
