Armed attack in Yozgat: Mukhtar and his son killed in attack

An argument over haymaking in Bağlıca village, Sarıkaya district of Yozgat, escalated into a gunfight. Yunus Emre E., who had a feud with village headman Yalçın Akdemir, opened fire with a shotgun, killing the headman and his son, Ahmet Akdemir, and seriously wounding his other son, Kubilay Akdemir. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. yesterday evening. The argument escalated into a fight, and the parties separated shortly thereafter. However, the suspect, Yunus Emre E., went home and, armed with a semi-automatic shotgun, blocked the car carrying the headman and his children at the village entrance.

Village headman Yalçın Akdemir and his son Ahmet Akdemir were killed in the gunfire opened by Yunus Emre E. Kubilay Akdemir was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and paramedics administered first aid before transferring him to Sorgun State Hospital.
