Entry into forests is prohibited throughout Türkiye

Rising summer temperatures and drought throughout Turkey have significantly increased the risk of forest fires. To mitigate this risk, Forest Fire Fighting Commissions have temporarily banned entry to forests in 47 provinces. The bans will begin on different dates depending on the province and will end between September and November, depending on the regional risk level.
The provinces and dates where entry into forests is prohibited in the Black Sea Region are as follows: Sinop from June 1 to October 31, Bayburt from June 1 to November 30, Karabük from June 2 to October 31, Çorum from June 15 to October 31, Samsun from June 19 to October 30, Amasya and Tokat from July 1 to October 30, Zonguldak, Bartın and Bolu from July 1 to September 30, and Kastamonu from July 1 to October 30.
In the Marmara Region, forest entry bans started in the following provinces and on the following dates: Kırklareli May 8 - October 31, Kocaeli May 15 - November 1, Balıkesir June 15 - September 30, Sakarya June 1 - November 1, Çanakkale June 1 - September 30, Yalova June 1 - October 31, Bilecik June 5 - October 1, Tekirdağ June 15 - October 15, İstanbul June 23 - October 15, and Edirne June 27 - October 15.
In the Aegean Region, entry bans were implemented in Kütahya between May 15 and October 31, in Denizli, İzmir, Manisa and Aydın between June 1 and October 31, in Uşak between June 1 and October 1, in Afyonkarahisar between June 15 and October 15, and in Muğla between June 25 and October 31.
In the Mediterranean Region, Antalya was included in the curfew between May 1st and October 31st, Hatay between May 15th and September 15th, Burdur between June 1st and November 1st, Isparta between June 1st and November 15th, Osmaniye and Kahramanmaraş between June 1st and October 31st, Mersin between June 1st and October 15th, and Adana between June 23rd and October 31st.
In the Southeastern Anatolia Region, a ban on entering forests was imposed in Kilis between June 1 and November 30, in Şanlıurfa between June 1 and October 31, and in Gaziantep between June 24 and September 30.
In the Eastern Anatolia Region, the ban was implemented in Bingöl between June 15 and October 1, and in Erzincan between July 15 and September 15.
In the Central Anatolia Region, the bans were in effect in Çankırı, Kırıkkale and Yozgat between June 1 and October 31, in Ankara between June 10 and September 30, and in Eskişehir between June 15 and September 30.
Authorities reminded citizens that they must comply with the decisions taken and that violations of the ban will result in administrative sanctions.
