Indians are not coming to Türkiye

Indians are not coming to Türkiye

Indians, especially those who closed Bodrum's luxury hotels and held weddings, decided to cut all ties on this issue.

Türkiye's statements supporting Pakistan amidst the tensions between India and Pakistan have led to a boycott among Indians of Turkish products and companies. This has led to a significant drop in Indian tourist flows to Türkiye. Approximately 200,000 Indian tourists have reportedly canceled their trips to Turkey, while advance bookings have reportedly decreased by up to 300%.

According to Sözcü, lavish weddings planned by Indian billionaires, particularly in Istanbul, Antalya, and Bodrum, have also been canceled. The Turkish company Çelebi's license to operate at Indian airports has been revoked.

It was reported that Pakistani tourists are showing interest in the bookings vacated by Indian tourists, but their spending profiles are different. Experts believe this loss could be offset by an increase in Chinese tourists.
