Massive FETO operation in 60 provinces on July 15: Detention orders issued for 371 suspects

On the anniversary of the treacherous July 15 coup attempt, simultaneous operations targeting FETÖ were conducted nationwide. As part of the massive operation, centered in Izmir and conducted across 60 provinces, detention warrants were issued for a total of 371 suspects. The operations aimed to disrupt FETÖ's financial resources.
The National Intelligence Organization, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Branch conducted simultaneous operations in nine provinces, centered in Istanbul, targeting FETÖ's current financial structure. A total of 26 people were detained in these operations.
Meanwhile, an important step has been taken as part of an investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Terrorist Crimes Investigation Bureau into FETÖ's past irregularities in the Police Academy Entrance Exam. Investigations into the now-closed Faculty of Security Sciences (Police Academy) Entrance Exam, held in 2010 and 2011, revealed that members of the organization accessed the exam questions beforehand and distributed them to other members.
Detention warrants were issued simultaneously in seven provinces, centered in Ankara, for 14 suspects identified through expert reports and witness testimonies, who had successfully completed the exams in advance. It was reported that the operations aimed at apprehending the suspects, which began on June 15, 2025, are being carried out by teams from the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Combating Organized Crime Branch.
These three separate operations targeted both FETÖ's financial structure and its attempts to infiltrate state institutions. As a result of the intensive work of security forces, suspects operating at various levels within the organization were detained and will be brought to justice.
