Serbia started the match better, taking an 11-8 lead in the 5th minute. Recovering quickly, Turkey went on an 11-0 run with points from Alperen Şengün, bringing the score to 19-11 in the 8th minute. Serbia responded with a 7-0 run in the remaining half, and the Turkish National Team finished the first period ahead 19-18.
Both teams were effective from the perimeter in the second quarter, hitting five shots each, and Serbia took a 49-46 lead into the locker room.
In a third period that saw both teams trade baskets, Serbia held the lead until the mid-25th minute. The Turkish National Team, with crucial baskets from Cedi Osman, Larkin, and Alperen Şengün, took the lead in the remaining period, taking a 74-73 lead into the final period.
Türkiye played better in the final part of the exciting fourth quarter, where the lead changed hands several times, and scored critical baskets from the free throw line, winning the game 95-90.
