The eclipse will begin at 6:28 PM Turkish time, while the total eclipse phase will begin at 8:30 PM and last until 9:52 PM. This means the Moon will appear bright red for approximately 1 hour and 22 minutes. After the total eclipse, the partial eclipse phase will continue, ending completely at 11:55 PM.
The Moon 's reddish appearance is due to the sun 's rays filtering through the Earth's atmosphere, leaving only the reddish hues reaching the lunar surface. This is why this phenomenon is commonly referred to as a "blood moon."
It can be clearly seen from Türkiye
The eclipse will be visible from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Therefore, Turkey is among the countries that will be able to witness this celestial spectacle. Furthermore, the entire eclipse will be visible from every corner of the country, provided the sky is clear.
Experts say that no telescope is needed to view the eclipse, as it can be easily observed with the naked eye. However, for those who prefer a clearer view, binoculars or small telescopes will provide an impressive experience.
