Surprise discovery: ChatGPT's social media platform feature is coming!

OpenAI , the developer of the AI- based chatbot ChatGPT, is preparing to add a new feature to its AI-powered app that will enable direct communication between users, if the claims are true: the Direct Message (DM) feature.
DM FEATURE FROM OPENAI TO CHATGPTA Direct Message (DM) feature has been discovered in ChatGPT's Android beta. According to Mint, the feature, discovered by developer Tibor Blaho, is said to be similar to the DM system already found in OpenAI's Sora app for iPhone.
Users will reportedly be able to exchange ideas, plan, ask questions, conduct research, create visuals, and create group chats using ChatGPT's DM feature. However, to protect privacy, no user in the conversation will have access to another's personal ChatGPT memory.
There will also reportedly be an option to join group chats via invite link. However, it's not yet known whether the new feature will offer end-to-end encryption like WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal.
IS CHATGPT TURNING INTO A 'SUPER APP'?It has recently been claimed that OpenAI has a goal of turning ChatGPT into some kind of all-encompassing "super app," and that goal is becoming increasingly clear.
Earlier this month, the company announced its "Apps SDK" platform, which allows developers to create custom AI applications that run within ChatGPT. This move positioned OpenAI as a direct competitor to the App Store and Google Play Store.
OpenAI also features a ChatGPT Agent that can perform autonomous actions on behalf of users, such as navigating websites, interacting with interfaces, and gathering information.
The company may be preparing to expand ChatGPT's social media presence by adding Direct Message (DM) and Group Chat features.
