Designed and developed by Molten in collaboration with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), the official match ball is based on the BG5000 model used in FIBA events since August 2019 and is inspired by the official slogan of the tournament, ‘Make Your Mark’. The concept reflects the hope that FIBA EuroBasket 2025 will be an unforgettable event in the hearts of players, host countries and fans, creating memories that will be remembered forever by the basketball community.
Both the official match ball and its replica will be available at sporting goods retailers in select markets ahead of the start of the FIBA EuroBasket 2025, which will be held from August 27 to September 14 in Cyprus, Finland, Latvia and Poland.
The ball’s main design element is inspired by a fingerprint symbol that symbolizes the concept of ‘Leave Your Mark’ and represents the mark that each player leaves in the tournament. Ten different basketball icons, including shoes, balls, hoops, whistles, fan equipment and team buses, are designed as three-dimensional elements, reflecting the energy and passion of the players’ performances, as well as the excitement and enthusiasm of the fans. Additionally, some design elements are highlighted with gold leaf, adding aesthetic beauty and creating a striking visual impact.
The ball’s primary colors are blue and pink, inspired by the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 brand colors. The tournament logo is centrally located on the front, while the slogan ‘Leave Your Mark’ appears on the back, complemented by bold fingerprint patterns that stand out prominently on the top and bottom.
The official match ball offers better control with its improved grip performance and reduced slipperiness, while the new surface texture will provide ideal grip even in contact with sweat or moisture. In addition, the branded logos provide a more sticky grip compared to the transfer printing method used in previous models, while the printing ratio has been reduced by 25%, further improving grip performance. The foam density has been increased by 35%, and the ball has become softer and easier to control thanks to the newly applied EVA foam support layer.
