Protests against Israel continue in LaLiga

The banner "Show Israel the red card" opened by Osasuna fans in the Osasuna-Real Madrid match played on February 15 in the 24th week of LaLiga was also repeated in the Alaves-Espanyol matches played on February 22 and Sevilla-Mallorca matches played on February 24 in the 25th week of the league.
Before the match, which was played at Alaves' home ground, Mendizorroza Stadium, and ended with the guest team leading 1-0, Alaves fans showed their reaction by unfurling a Palestinian flag in a choreography and holding red cardboards in their hands, showing the red card to genocidal Israel.
Similarly, at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, where the match between Sevilla and Mallorca drew 1-1, the fans' group unfurled a banner reading "Show Israel the red card" and a Palestinian flag.
Fans demanded that Israeli teams be excluded from all international sporting competitions due to Israel's attacks on Palestine.
Protests against Israel, such as the ones taking place in stadiums in Spain, have been seen in many countries around the world for a long time.
Celtic fans' call has been effectiveCeltic's "Green Brigade" supporters' group, which announced that it was working to organize protests in support of Palestine in more than 30 countries around the world, brought together fans of different languages, races and religions in the stands at matches played in many countries including Scotland, Spain, Chile, Turkey, Italy, Indonesia and Belgium, and ensured that banners reading "Show Israel The Red Card" were unfurled.
Double standards from FIFA and UEFAIsrael, which has massacred more than 48 thousand Palestinians, including children, women and the elderly, in Gaza since October 7, 2023, continued to appear in sports organizations in the 15 months leading up to the ceasefire.
Despite the genocide that has been going on for over a year, international umbrella organizations in sports have not even issued a condemnation message, let alone imposed sanctions on Israeli teams and athletes. Israeli athletes continued to compete in international tournaments while athletes were being killed in Palestinian territories.
The decisions taken by the umbrella organizations of sports, which ignored the crimes against humanity committed by Israel, regarding Russia invading Ukraine in 2022, attracted attention.
On the second day of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, UEFA released a message that read, “The international community is concerned about Europe’s security. We strongly condemn the ongoing Russian military aggression in Ukraine. UEFA works to develop football in line with the Olympic spirit and within the framework of Europe’s common values such as peace and respect for human rights.” FIFA, which met on the same day, announced that international football matches would not be played in Russia and that the Russian flag and anthem would not be used in matches. On the fourth day of the conflict, FIFA and UEFA suspended the participation of Russian clubs and national teams in their organizations.
Since then, Russian teams have not been able to participate in international competitions.
Despite this stance against Russia, UEFA and FIFA have played the "three monkeys" game when it comes to Israel. So much so that FIFA could not even give a positive or negative answer to the Palestinian Football Federation, which applied to them in May and requested that Israel be banned from the tournaments.
