Zeki Müren film banned

Last year, producer Mustafa Uslu announced that he would adapt the life of Zeki Müren, the "Sun of Art" of Turkish Classical Music, who died in 1996. However, the singer's legal heirs, the Turkish Armed Forces Mehmetçik Foundation and the Turkish Education Foundation, opposed the film's production.
According to Habertürk, two foundations filed legal action after Mustafa Uslu screened a promotional film he had prepared at various festivals. The court upheld the foundations' complaint and banned the screening of the Zeki Müren film's promotional film.
The court ruling didn't just ban the film from being shown. It also ordered that the flash drive containing the promotional film be kept in the court safe. It also ordered that an expert appointed to the case examine the film and determine whether its content was relevant to Zeki Müren's life.
