This is how a COPD patient who was trapped in the snow was rescued

Heavy snowfall in the Karlıova district of Bingöl made emergency situations even more difficult.

Relatives of 69-year-old COPD patient Kadir Çiftçi, who fell ill in the Taşlıçay village of Karlıova district, reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center. A snow plow vehicle from the Provincial Special Administration teams and a snow blower vehicle from the Regional Directorate of Highways were dispatched to reach the ambulance in Taşlıçay village, where the road was closed due to heavy snowfall. However, since it would take time to open the road, it was decided to transport Çiftçi by ambulance helicopter. The ambulance helicopter, which took off from Erzurum, landed in the village and healthcare teams picked up Çiftçi. Çiftçi was taken to Erzurum for treatment.
