Cologne explosion LIVE: German restaurant destroyed as two men flee scene

A horror blast in Germany destroyed a restaurant on Thursday morning. The explosion took place in the lobby of the establishment located in Cologne, western Germany, and resulted in shattered windows and furniture being ruined.
The explosion, which occurred in the early morning of June 19, didn't leave anybody injured, according to initial reports. Two men, who, according to witnesses, were seen fleeing the scene shortly after the blast, are now sought by the German police. The force said: "Whether they are suspects or possible witnesses is still unclear."

Police in Cologne have isued a statement in relation to the bombing.
The statement says: "Cologne police are searching for two people in connection with an explosion in a restaurant early Thursday morning (June 19) on the corner of Deutz-Kalker Straße and Deutzer Ring in the Kalk district. According to witnesses, the two men, who have not yet been identified, fled the suspected crime scene toward the Deutz University of Applied Sciences shortly after 4:30 a.m. following a loud bang. Whether they are suspects or possible witnesses is still unclear. The area surrounding the scene is currently cordoned off. Investigations and the search for the wanted persons are ongoing.
The force of the explosion in the entrance area shattered the windows and threw chairs onto the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. According to current information, no one was injured. No one was in the restaurant at the time of the incident.
