Prince Harry will be miles away from his father, King Charles, as the world celebrates Father's Day this Sunday. The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from the Royal Family after he stepped down as a senior working royal in 2020.

His relationship with the Firm and his father became further strained following various comments he made since his departure during interviews and in his bombshell memoir, Spare. But recently, he expressed his willingness to reconcile with the royals during a bombshell BBC interview, where he talked about the King's health, following his cancer diagnosis last year.

The Duke of Sussex caused ructions back in May after he gave a lengthy interview to the BBC after he lost a Court of Appeal challenge over his security arrangements while in the UK.

Harry, who appeared emotional and close to tears during much of the sit-down chat, described his court defeat as a "good old-fashioned establishment stitch-up" and expressed hopes of a reconciliation with his family.

The prince said: "Of course some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book, of course they will never forgive me for lots of things, but I would love reconcilation with my family. There's no point in continuing to fight anymore."

He also spoke about the King's health, saying he does not know how "much time he has left" following his cancer diagnosis.

Harry added that he is not currently speaking to King Charles, claiming his father "won't" speak to him as a result of the latest "security" case.
