Blackpool has officially been crowned the most entertaining seaside town in the UK, thanks to its abundance of amusement parks, casinos, iconic landmarks, and more than 500 restaurants. According to a recent study by entertainment experts at SuomiCasino, Blackpool tops the list of 26 UK seaside towns, based on key entertainment factors. These included the number of amusement and water parks, live music venues, bars and restaurants, casinos, landmarks, beaches, and escape rooms.
With its 12 water and amusement parks, 67 landmarks, and 13 casinos, the town has more amusement parks, casinos, and landmarks than any other location in the study, making it the ultimate summer destination for entertainment seekers. Highlights include the famous Blackpool Tower, vibrant piers, the iconic Pleasure Beach, and a bustling food and nightlife scene with 30 live music venues and a massive 520 bars and restaurants.
Brighton came in second with more than 900 bars and restaurants, 58 live music venues, 19 escape rooms, and 52 landmarks, followed by Southport, which also boasts 52 landmarks and a massive 15 beaches.
According to the experts, Morecambe is the least exciting seaside destination, lacking theme parks, casinos, and escape rooms.
If you prefer a summer getaway with a variety of beaches, Torquay has been named the seaside destination with the most beaches, featuring 17 to choose from.
Some of Blackpool's most popular landmarks include the impressive Blackpool Tower, the Grand Theatre, the Winter Gardens, Stanley Park, the Blackpool Illuminations, and the Big Wheel. The city has a variety of theme parks and three piers: North Pier, Central Pier, and South Pier.
