A Complete Guide to the Complicated <i>My Life With the Walter Boys</i> Family Tree

Farmer George Walter (Marc Blucas) and veterinarian Katherine Walter sometimes struggle to make ends meet, but they always provide for their large family. The married couple has eight children, seven of whom still live at home. They’re also raising two of their nephews, meaning that when Jackie moves in, there’s a total of ten kids living on the farm. It remains somewhat of a mystery as to how the parents juggle busy careers alongside their massive household, but they do.

Walter matriarch and former Suits star, Sarah Rafferty, spoke to Netflix’s Tudum about bringing the character of Katherine to life. “She is a woman who leads with her heart, who has a sense of humor about her life, and is able to spin all the plates,” Rafferty told the outlet. “There are many ways to build a family. And she’s open to all of those and just has boundless love to give.”

As George and Katherine’s eldest child, Will (Johnny Link) no longer lives at the farm, and instead resides with his new wife, Hayley (Zoë Soul). Having graduated from college, Will is seeking a direction for his career as he carves out his own path. After diving headfirst into hospitality in season 1, Will takes on a role alongside his father in attempting to build guest accommodations on the family farm in season 2.

Occasionally at odds with his dad—and seemingly frustrated with his own lack of a vocation—Will regularly provides My Life With the Walter Boys with a dose of tension. In the season 2 finale, Will is the person to find his dad, George, collapsed in a field, having experienced an unexplained medical emergency.

Heartthrob Cole (Noah LaLonde) makes quite the entrance in season 1 of My Life With the Walter Boys: Viewers watch him exiting the pool in slow-motion during his first meeting with Jackie. Discovering instant chemistry with Jackie, and then kissing her in the season 1 finale, Cole spends much of the second season brooding. A former football star, Cole’s dreams of playing professionally are destroyed when he experiences a skiing injury.

In season 2, Cole works with the football team as an assistant coach and discovers he might have a future behind-the-scenes. As well as being a skilled mechanic, Cole always finds time for his family, including his twin brother, Danny. At the end of season 2, Jackie finally confesses her love for Cole, who reciprocates, despite the fact she’s secretly been dating his younger brother, Alex.

Danny (Connor Stanhope) is Cole’s slightly younger twin brother, and the pair couldn’t be more different from each other. While Cole is known as a popular former football player, Danny has a passion for acting, which he hopes to study at Juilliard. In the first season of My Life With the Walter Boys, Danny finds himself acting opposite his brother’s ex-girlfriend, Erin Collins (Alisha Newton), in a school play, and sparks fly.

Returning to school after summer break, Danny and Erin start dating in season 2, keeping their romance a secret from Cole for fear of hurting him. However, when Cole finds out, he’s ultimately supportive of the pairing.

Jackie finds herself romantically caught between two Walter boys: Cole and Alex (Ashby Gentry). Cole is older than the pair, but Jackie and Alex are in the same school year, which initially gives them more time to bond. The couple begins dating in season 1, but their romance abruptly ends when Jackie flees to New York after kissing Cole—which Alex doesn’t learn until much later.

Hurt by the breakup, Alex makes some major changes in his life in season 2, including pursuing a career as a rodeo competitor. But he can’t get Jackie off of his mind, and they secretly start up their romance again, sneaking off to spend time together. Following Jackie’s season 2 finale revelation that she loves Cole, it seems as though Alex’s heart might be broken all over again.

Nathan (Corey Fogelmanis) is the younger brother of Will, Cole, Danny, and Alex. He’s a passionate musician, who isn’t afraid to show his emotions via the medium of songwriting, wooing boyfriend Skylar Summerhill (Jaylan Evans) with a personalized song. In season 1, Nathan is diagnosed with epilepsy after experiencing a seizure, and the condition is controlled with medication.

In season 2, Nathan finds himself at the center of some major romantic drama. A flirty new student called Zach (Carson MacCormac) successfully breaks up Nathan and Skylar, but it transpires he’s doing so in an attempt to win Skylar back. Nathan apologizes to Skylar, but a reunion between the two seems unlikely.

Described as an “aspiring wildlife film director” by Tudum, Jordan (Dean Petriw) is one of the younger members of the Walter family and is generally seen filming his siblings. Although the character is one of the lesser-seen family members, it is revealed that Jordan has a pet snake, aptly named Rumplesnakeskin.

Benny (Lennix James) is officially the youngest Walter boy, as the character is only 5 years old in season 1. “Benny has a lot of energy—so much so that you never know when you’ll find him underfoot,” Tudum explained. Although Benny hasn’t had any of his own solo storylines just yet, that could all change in future seasons.

As the only daughter in a household of Walter boys, Parker (Alix West Lefler) is “a little wary of adding another girl to the family when Jackie arrives,” Tudum noted. However, that all changes by the end of season 1, leaving Parker “crushed when Jackie leaves Silver Falls” and returns to New York. Having grown up surrounded by boys, Parker can generally “be seen wearing a lot of her older brothers’ old clothes,” Tudum explained. She’s also a big football fan, and often plays the sport with her older brother, Cole.

Brothers Isaac (Isaac Arellanes) and Lee (Myles Vincent Perez) Garcia are George and Katherine’s nephews—and cousins of the Walter kids. They live with the Walters as “their mom (George’s sister) left home when they were small and their dad, a soldier, has since been deployed,” Tudum explained.

In season 2, Isaac takes on a bigger role on the football team, and his cousin, Cole, is on hand to provide “some pointers,” according to Tudum. Meanwhile, Lee is described as “a dedicated skater who’s unafraid of skating indoors—or into people.”

Born and raised in Manhattan, Jackie Howard relocates to Silver Falls, Colorado, following the deaths of both of her parents and older sister in a tragic accident. As Jackie’s godmother and the best friend of her late mom, Katherine Walter is perhaps the only person who can help the teenager find a way forward after such tragedy.

Firmly focused on attending Princeton, Jackie is a dedicated student who often gets involved in extracurricular activities at school. But that doesn’t prevent her from developing not one but two love interests: Brothers Alex and Cole are both drawn to Jackie soon after her arrival. When Jackie moves into the Walter household, she also becomes the tenth child living on the farm, meaning the property is fairly crowded—which only adds to its charm.
