In 2018, Williams gushed about her friend to People, sharing how she gave her some advice on impending motherhood. Meghan was expecting her son, Archie, at the time. Two years later, she welcomed her daughter, Lilibet.

“I’m like, ‘How are you?’ and she’s like, ‘No, how are you?’ and I’m like, ‘You’re so sweet, but I’m really asking—how are YOU?’” Williams explained. “I’m like, ‘Meghan, stop being so nice…you’re the pregnant one, aren’t you supposed to have hormones, why are you so sweet?’ But that’s always been her.”

Harry and Meghan have been in New York this week after accepting an award for Humanitarians of the Year on World Mental Health Day at the Project Healthy Minds gala. They attended the big event on October 9, giving a joint speech.

“Our children, Archie and Lilibet, are just 6 and 4 years old,” Meghan said, according to People. “Can you believe it?”

She continued, “Luckily, they’re still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming. Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against its dangers. And that hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”

Meghan concluded by promising to “continue building a safer digital world for all our children.”
