Rihanna Elevates Maternity Style at Cannes in a Dramatic Black Cut-Out Dress

Rihanna proves yet again that she’s the queen of pregnancy style.

On Tuesday night in Cannes, France, the superstar stepped out for a date night with A$AP Rocky in a floor-length, one-shoulder black cut-out gown with a high leg slit. She accessorized with a black clutch, black heels, gold jewelry, and loose, wavy hair. Rocky wore a brown trench coat, black shoes, and shades.

The couple first announced that they were expecting their third child at this year’s Met Gala. They already have two sons, RZA and Riot Rose.

Earlier this week, they appeared at the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of Rocky’s upcoming film, Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest. There, the beauty mogul wore another cut-out gown in baby blue (possibly nodding to her upcoming summer movie, Smurfs). She wore her hair in a high bun with a side bang and accessorized with blue stilettos.

Rihanna recently made her return to music when she released a new single, “Friend of Mine,” for the Smurfs movie soundtrack last week. She first promoted the film back in February when she posted a teaser on Instagram with the caption, “in my blue era 👀💙.” The movie will be released on July 18.

In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Rihanna spoke about her relationship with music and what she wants to do for her next solo album. “I think music is my freedom,” she said. “I just came to that realization. I just cracked the code on what I really want to do for my next body of work. I am actually feeling really good about this.”
