THE RUNDOWN

  • The Jonas Brothers didn’t attend this evening’s MTV VMAs.
  • Kevin, Nick, and Joe have been on tour and performed the night before the ceremony in Los Angeles.
  • The trio has been nominated at the VMAs 13 times.

On Sunday, the Jonas Brothers did not attend the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. The trio has been on their massive 20th anniversary tour and held a performance in Los Angeles the night before the big awards ceremony. However, the brothers are quite familiar with the VMAs—they have been nominated 13 times and won in 2019 for Best Pop Video with “Sucker.”

On August 10, Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas kicked off their tour at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Their surprise guest for the night was Demi Lovato, who was introduced with clips from the Camp Rock movies before Joe Jonas warmly welcomed her to the stage. They sang a medley of songs from the films, including “This Is Me.” At one point, Joe claimed they haven’t performed that particular song in “almost 10 years.” Lovato replied, “It might have been longer... crazy!”

Fans were particularly excited to see them interacting, as Lovato and Joe previously dated in 2010. Lovato married her husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, in May 2025. Joe went on to marry Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, but the former couple divorced in 2023. It seems as though Lovato is on good terms with all the Jonas brothers. She and Joe even performed a duet of “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” from the sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, for the enthralled audience.
