Christina Trevanion has become a prominent and beloved figure on the BBC's daytime programming, known for her appearances on popular antiques shows such as Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip. The star's fascination with antiques began in her childhood, when she would accompany her parents to various auctions. Her mother, Hazel, also shared an avid interest in antiques, which deeply influenced Christina's appreciation for vintage items and their stories. Christina went on to pursue a degree in Fine Art Valuation at Southampton Solent University.

In 2014, Christina turned her passion into a thriving career by founding Trevanion Auctioneers & Valuers, an auction house that has gained a reputation for quality and integrity in the antiques market. Since then, Christina has established herself as a leading expert in her field. Seven years ago her dedication and expertise were recognised when she became a member of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA).

In 2013, Christina made her television debut as a valuer and researcher on the BBC show Flog It!. Since then, she has also appeared on other popular programmes, including Bargain Hunt, Antiques Road Trip, and Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is. According to her profile on the BBC website, Christina resides in the scenic Shropshire countryside.

Christina tends to keep her personal life private, but it is known that she is married to her husband, Aaron Dean, and the couple have two daughters. She has previously described her family life as "noisy, hectic, and good fun", mentioning their dog named Welly.

In a reflective post from 2019, Christina shared memories of her wedding day and paid tribute to her late father, David, who passed away in 2013. She also shared her heartbreak on X, formerly known as Twitter, in 2018, while responding to a headline regarding England being the “worst ever” for cancer waiting times.

She posted: “My grandfather died from cancer. My father died from cancer. I have two close friends both currently suffering with cancer. Both on long waiting lists. Both getting poorlier. This headline is so desperately frustrating."

In February 2024, The Travelling Auctioneers narrator left fans concerned when she shared a picture from the perspective of a hospital bed, stating that she made an “unexpected” visit.

While she didn’t share details of what was wrong, Christina’s picture showed her arm with a drip and a name tag on her wrist.

When she's not on the road with Antiques Road Trip or searching for unwanted items on Bargain Hunt, Christina enjoys spending her free time with family and friends.

"As a busy mum of two, with a full-time job and a part-time job, I don't get a lot of free time, so when I do it is spent with my family and friends, in my garden, at home," she previously told the BBC.

Judging from Christina's Instagram page, the TV star enjoys being outdoors, both at home in her flower-filled garden and travelling to beautiful locations around the world.

Cornwall appears to be one of Christina's favourite spots. In September, the TV star shared a snap of the breathtaking coast alongside the caption: "And breathe! A thalassophile in her happy place. Oh to be back in #Cornwall."
