Crocs entered my life one summer many years ago while in search of a comfortable, waterproof shoe. I ended up finding a black pair of their flip-flop style, which I then had for many seasons to follow, and only later did I finally get myself a pair of the infamous Crocs Classic Clogs during the boom of Crocs purchases during the pandemic in 2020.
Coupled with a plethora of collaborations between Crocs and high-end designers such as Balenciaga, Simone Rocha, and, most recently, Swarovski, the comfy clogs have become a fashion staple in their own way.

The best thing about these collabs is the unexpected. When I think of Swarovski, the style of these new shoes was not what immediately came to mind, but that is what I love about them — they feel fun, fresh, and bring a different voice to both the Crocs and Swarovski brands alike. I love that they’re here to surprise and delight.
Swarovski and Crocs are re-envisioning the Classic Clog and the Bae Clog, adding sparkly 3D flower Jibbitz charms, a thorny metal back strap, and other glittery features. Still, it has Crocs' signature customizable nature, so you can add a bedazzled Hello Kitty to the mix, too. The pairs are slated to arrive early next month.
Naturally, I asked some of the Teen Vogue team to try out the ornate Swarovski x Crocs collab, and they delivered! And for fun, because I have always been a fan, I got to try out the Simone Rocha style, whose color was just the pop of color that I needed for footwear in my current wardrobe.

Despite countless designer collabs, this is my first time wearing Crocs since I was about five years old. They’re surprisingly as lightweight as I had remembered, even with the platforms, added hardware, and heavy ornamental excess. I’m a sucker for tiny details, so the thorny embroidered dustbags they came with were a plus. This pair features rhinestones big and small, atop a layer of rubber cobwebbing on the upper, and a thick, thorny chain backstrap. There’s a lot going on design-wise, especially around the heels: Much of the shoe's weight is distributed there when walking, which makes for a slightly awkward stride to avoid the metal detailing from clashing against each other, but over time, I got the hang of it.
I’m still mixed, but the overall office-friendly, “dark spring” vibe of them is certainly a far cry from the Crocs I wore to the pool as a kid on hot summer days. I styled them with my favorite knit skullcap, comfy ribbed black tee, and pinstripe skirt — a fairly understated outfit to reserve for shoes equally loud in design as they are when I walk. — Skyli Alvarez, Editorial Assistant
MaximalismFrom the moment I held these shoes in my arms, it felt like I was carrying buried treasure. They’re weighty and carry personality in equal heft, which means they require an outfit that really makes them the star of the show.
I paired them with my upcycled boxer skirt from Dauan Jacari, a bodysuit from Skims (because I have no patience for this subtropical heat), layered necklaces from Twelve New York and My Dearest World, and my everyday blue-light-blocker glasses from Kuboraum. Everywhere I went — especially outside where all the Swarovski features sparkled in the sunlight like diamonds — people stared like the shoes were The Ring of Power.
Compliments come part and parcel with these; they’re the kind of item you can’t help but admire out loud. I can’t wait to style them again. — Amalie MacGowan, Associate Video Director
Classically ChicI love a good, eclectic shoe, and that's exactly what you're getting here with this Crocs and Swarovski collaboration. Immediately after seeing the shoes, I was planning how I'd wear them. And honestly, I will admit I was a bit stumped because the shoes feel so extravagant, and I didn't really know how I wanted to style them.
So I kept it simple, my first try with a striped shirt and Good American jeans. I actually loved the mix-and-match in levels. I plan to wear the shoes in a few different ways, but I'm obsessed with the drama of them. They are a bit heavy, so there's a warning there to make sure you pick up your feet when you're walking so you don't fall. But I love how flashy they are. — Aiyana Ishmael, Associate Editor
Graphic TeeI’ve had a wide foot for as long as I can remember. Beyond the inherent issues around the sheer lack of size-inclusive clothing, footwear included, the actual bones of my feet are, for better or worse, genetically predisposed to be wide. So finding footwear, especially for any sort of fashionable or special occasion, has always been a struggle for me. Not to mention the element of comfort – if a shoe even gets onto my foot, it does not necessarily translate to being able to wear said footwear for hours on end. I love that I can finally have a comfortable shoe and not compromise on cool-factor.
I took the sort of maximalist, Copenhagen street style approach, mixing colors, textures, and themes that don't quite make sense in your head, but I'd like to think they balance each other out once put together. I love that I can dress up a casual look with a dress (yet still very comfortable!) shoe choice. — Emily Zirimis, Design Director
