These 2-In-1 Garment Duffel Bags Will Change the Way You Travel

- Phenomenal leather quality
- Will last a lifetime
- $1,000 is actually quite cheap for what it is
- Garments will still wrinkle
This is the garment duffel I personally use. It's the only bag I use at all. On larger flights, it fits in the overhead. On shorter ones, I check it and the leather deals with the carousel abuse better than any plastic suitcase could. I'm two years into owning it, and it's been my only bag for trips to Paris, Seoul, Dubai, and all over the U.S.
The Italian leather isn't a usual for Lucchese—which you'd know for Texas-made boots—but that makes it the perfect for the more worldly travel types. If you took that logo off it, nothing screams cowboy. You could replace it with any of the big house's branding, and it'd look perfectly in place.
The tradeoff with full leather construction is immediate comfort and long-term use. That Halfday bag with nylon straps is easier to carry. This Lucchese one sags a bit on the leather. (Though that's because I pack it to the brim.) But the stitching on those synthetic handles will fail one day. The rivets on this bag aren't going anywhere in my lifetime; if they do, it's an easy fix.
The one thing about luxury Italian leather is that it's supple. When packing this bag, it'll tend to fold in on itself, which can make the whole process a pain. That's the only downside I've got for it.
