Camryn Rogers wins women's hammer throw at Diamond League event in Poland
Olympic and world champion Camryn Rogers of Richmond, B.C., won the women's hammer throw at a Diamond League meet in Chorzow, Poland on Saturday.
On her second attempt, Rogers threw 75.39 metres to take the top spot, ahead of Finland's Krista Tervo (72.74) and Silja Kosonen (72.40).

Reigning Olympic champion and world champion Ethan Katzberg of Nanaimo, B.C. grabbed second place in the men's hammer throw after launching a 79.30 metre throw on his fifth attempt.
Hungarian hammer thrower Bence Halász won the event with a throw of 81.77 metres on his second attempt. After settling for silver behind Katzberg at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Halász recently faced Katzberg in Budapest where he took the title.

Germany's Merlin Hummel finished behind Katzberg in third (79.16).
Both the women's and men's hammer throw events are not officially part of the Diamond League.
