Donegal's decision to break early from the pre-match parade smacked of nervousness, according to Paul Flynn.

Jim McGuinness' men also looked uncomfortable as Michael D Higgins conducted his presidential duties for the last time before an All-Ireland SFC final.

Speaking on The Sunday Game, Dublin six-time All-Ireland winner Flynn remarked: "There was a nervousness about Donegal in the warm-up I think they broke away from the parade very early and then they broke away after the Presidential handshake and they were doing a lot of activation.

"I just felt there was a tension there they were trying to maybe (get rid of) whereas Kerry, there was a serenity."

Donegal won't face any fine as there are no sanctions against counties not finishing the entire duration of the parade, which starts and end at the Hogan Stand.
