Healy-Rae provides update after bizarre Garda incident at All-Ireland final

Kerry TD Danny Healy-Rae says he will take no further action after a bizarre incident involving a Garda before the All-Ireland SFC final on Saturday.
Footage shows the controversial politician walking among Kerry fans near Branningans, just off O’Connell Street.
Wearing a Kerry hat, he fist pumps to the cheering crowd before bumping into and getting pushed by the Garda.
Healy-Rae then walked back up to the Garda and they both squared up to each other.
After the incident, he said: “I was just having fun and the Garda pushed me. There was no call for it. I asked him why he’d done that. I am thinking of making a complaint.”
But Healy-Rae told the Irish Mirror that he was letting the Gardai deal with it internally and wouldn’t be taking it further.
He said: “The Gardaí have a way of dealing with that and they will deal with it. I have enough to do besides doing any more.”
Sources told the Irish Mirror the local Garda management are looking at the incident, but it not expected to result in any disciplinary process.
A Gardai spokesperson said: “Anyone who wishes to report the conduct of a member of An Garda Síochána is entitled to make a complaint to the independent policing ombudsman, Fiosrú.”
