Limerick eager to tear up script against Kildare and earn Sam Maguire Cup status - Fahy

Limerick football captain Cillian Fahy says lifting the Tailteann Cup on behalf of his county this weekend would be “a massive privilege”.
The Shannonsiders face Kildare on Saturday afternoon at Croke Park (2.30pm) looking to add the second-tier championship trophy to the Division 4 league title they earned at the end of March.
Speaking to RTE Sport this week in the build up to the decider against the Lilywhites, Fahy says that clinching another promotion to the Sam Maguire Cup ranks would be huge for the Treaty County.
"I suppose in the short term it's the All-Ireland championships, the All-Ireland medal and winning a national trophy in Croke Park," he said.
"It would be a massive privilege. I suppose down the line, for the further development of Limerick football overall, playing Sam Maguire would be huge."
On the opposition at Croker this weekend, Fahy added: "They've had a great year. They've been putting up some massive scores throughout the league and the championship.
"They were very unlucky in their Leinster Championship game. They're an incredible team and moving up to Division 2, so they're rightly favourites. It'll be a tough challenge."
