Snooker scores LIVE: Kyren Wilson in action as Ronnie O’Sullivan threatens to quit

Well, it's that time of year again! The World Championship has returned, with 32 of the globe's best players set to fight it out for the crown across a gruelling two weeks of action.
Much to the surprise of many, Ronnie O'Sullivan has committed to playing in this year's edition, which would keep alive his imperious record of appearing at every World Championship since his debut. However, the Rocket put the tournament organisers on red alert when he hinted he could still pull out of the tournament prior to his opening match next week.
In the meantime, though, as per tradition, it's defending champion Kyren Wilson who will get things underway, with the Englishman taking on Lei Peifan. Elsewhere, there's a stacked card for the opening day, as the Crucible gears up for yet another World Championship showdown.
Reigning world champion Kyren Wilson has revealed he's using a hypnotherapist to try and help him win back-to-back titles.
Speaking to Midnite, the Englishman explained: “No, because it’s an event and it’s how you deal with that event.
“I’ve managed to take in so much of his knowledge and his work, we’ve built so much consistency, not only at last year’s world championships but throughout this season.
“I’ve had a very successful campaign so it’s about keeping that consistency, not changing too much, more of the same.”

Ronnie O'Sullivan hasn't ruled out the prospect of quitting the World Championship ahead of his opening match against Ali Carter next week.
Speaking ahead of his opening match, he explained: "I’m not playing until Tuesday. So if I have a meltdown, who knows? I might still bloody withdraw. I hope I don’t.
"I’m surprised I’m here but I’m here. I don’t have any expectations."
The day all snooker fans have been waiting for is finally here!
Welcome to day one of the World Snooker Championship, as 32 players from across the globe battle it out to become champion.
Kyren Wilson will kick things off later today when he takes on Lei Peifan of China.
Over the next couple of days, the likes of Judd Trump and Ronnie O'Sullivan will all return to the Crucible to kick-start their World Championship campaigns.
It promises to be a magic couple of weeks! Who are you backing?
