Watch: Canavan brothers conjure breathtaking goal in Tyrone SFC

While Errigal Ciarán may have surrendered their county and provincial titles on Sunday evening, the classy Canavan brothers left their mark with a goal for the ages.
Ruairí Canavan netted in the first half of Errigal’s 1-11 to 1-13 semi-final defeat to 2023 champions Trillick at O’Neills Healy Park, but it was his brother Darragh’s outrageous assist which has got people talking. Collecting a pass from Peter Harte, the older sibling played a superb cross-field ball with the outside of his right boot to Ruairí who ghosted in behind the Trillick defence before instinctively firing a right-footed shot to the bottom corner of the net.
It was poetry in motion, but Trillick still had the final say as they await the winners of next weekend’s replay between Carrickmore and Loughmacrory in the O’Neill Cup decider.
TweetThis is just... wow. Darragh to Ruairí. Amazing.
