Europe is home to many famous cities that are popular tourist destinations but there is one that many Brits haven't visited, making it truly underrated. Europe is a diverse continent with a wide range of experiences available and no one is the same as the other, from the unique culture of Spain to the fascinating history of Germany. But there are many cities that Brits don't consider visiting that they should absolutely have on their radar.

Geneva is a city in Switzerland and is the second most populated in the country. Set among the surrounding green mountains, Geneva is a beautiful spot with a unique charm. The city is located in the western tip of the country, right on the border of France and at the southern tip of expansive Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) - undoubtedly one of the most beautiful on the continent. While it is not often considered a top tourist destination, it is home to the United Nations Headquarters and the Red Cross.

Other museums in Geneva include The Musée Ariana, The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum, International Museum of the Reformation and Patek Phillipe Museum.

Meanwhile, there is also Bains des Paquis, a quaint lake-front beach with a lovely restaurant that is popular with locals. There is even a spa and steam baths here. One tourist said of the attraction: "Swimming in Lake Geneva (Leman)! What's not to like? A beautiful day, water a good temperature, floating 'islands' to dive from, a climbing wall in the middle of the swimming area, diving boards, changing cubicles, a small shingle beach, kiddies' area, restaurant on-site."
