Booktok: The TikTok Book Awards 2025 will be presented tomorrow - all nominees

Booktok is the connection between social media and literature, which has sparked a real hype in recent years. Launched to celebrate books, authors, and book communities, the TikTok Book Awards particularly reflect the dynamics of the #BookTok community—that is, all those users on TikTok who recommend, review, or discuss books.
The format has been further developed for 2025: a new category, live broadcast for the first time, a prominent jury, and alignment with the Frankfurt Book Fair.
- Date: October 18, 2025 , as part of the Frankfurt Book Fair.
- Venue: Harmonie Hall, Congress Center, Messe Frankfurt.
- Time: expected to begin at 6:30 p.m.; media reports say it will last until about 8:30 p.m.
- Premiere: For the first time, the awards ceremony will be broadcast live on TikTok . Viewers can follow along via @tiktoklive_de .
In 2025, six categories will be awarded – one of which is new:

- #BookTok Indie Bookstore or Library of the Year
- #BookTok Bestseller of the Year
- New: Best #BookTok Film Adaptation of the Year (for the first time in 2025)
The new “Best Film Adaptation” category honors film adaptations based on BookTok bestsellers that have already been published.
