Another wave of layoffs at the energy startup: Is Enter replacing employees with AI?

A former sales representative for the energy consulting firm Enter reported that the call hadn't even ended when his doorbell rang. During the call last Monday afternoon, he and his sales colleagues were informed that they would be losing their jobs. The courier at the door handed him the written notice of termination.
There's not much in it, reports the former Enter employee: "We hereby terminate the employment relationship properly and on time." But why? There's no explanation, the man tells Gründerszene. And honestly, he has no idea why it happened. So suddenly. And now, of all times.
As several voices from the company reported to Gründerszene, a mid-double-digit number of people are said to have suffered the same fate at the beginning of this week: They were all laid off.
According to their statements, this affects people in various departments: Field Operations, Customer Care, Business Development – in Berlin and at remote locations. This is said to be such a large proportion of employees that the company had to file a mass layoff with the Federal Employment Agency, according to insiders.
