Change of leadership: Faros Consulting appoints Managing Director

Faros Consulting has appointed Andreas Weigl as Managing Director. The former Executive Vice President of the sister company Faros Fiduciary Management assumes the position with immediate effect. Weigl will be responsible for the company's further development, marketing, sales, internal organization, and client advisory services for institutional asset management.

Weigl joined Faros Fiduciary Management as a member of the executive board in 2021. The economist with a master's degree is moving up from the sister company to the management of the investment advisor.

Sister company has new CFO

At the same time, Thorsten Wellein will be appointed Chief Investment Officer of Faros Fiduciary Management at the beginning of October. The former senior portfolio manager will develop and implement customized investment strategies for institutional portfolios. Wellein holds a master's degree in economics and is a CFA charterholder.

He succeeds Jens Kummer, who served as Chief Financial Officer since May 2023 and is leaving the company at the end of September. Kummer is leaving at his own request to pursue new professional challenges.
