More regular insolvencies filed in June

Wiesbaden – According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the number of regular insolvencies filed in Germany increased by 2.4 percent in June 2025 compared to the same month last year. When considering these results, it should be noted that applications are only included in the statistics after the first decision by the insolvency court. In many cases, the actual time of the insolvency application is almost three months earlier. According to final results, the local courts reported 2,125 corporate insolvencies filed for April 2025. This was 11.5 percent more than in April 2024. The local courts estimated the creditors' claims from the corporate insolvencies reported in April 2025 at approximately €2.5 billion. In April 2024, the claims had been approximately €11.4 billion. This decline in receivables, coupled with a simultaneous increase in the number of corporate insolvencies, is due to the fact that more economically significant companies filed for insolvency in April 2024 than in April 2025. Based on the per 10,000 companies, there were a total of 6.1 corporate insolvencies in Germany in April 2025. The transport and warehousing sector accounted for the highest number of insolvencies per 10,000 companies, with 11.3 cases. This was followed by the construction and hospitality sectors, each with 9.8 insolvencies per 10,000 companies. In April 2025, there were 6,328 consumer insolvencies. This represents an increase of 0.8 percent compared to April 2024, according to Destatis.

Hensoldt, Renk & Rheinmetall expensive
Rheinmetall, Renk, and Hensoldt have dominated the arms boom of recent years, but these stocks are now fundamentally hopelessly overvalued. But there are alternatives that have so far flown under the radar: solidly valued, operationally strong, and with catch-up potential. In our free report, we show you which three arms companies still have potential and how you can profit from the second wave of the turning point without getting burned by overheated high-flyers.
