Royal roses for the 50-year-old?The former England captain visited the garden show on May 19 to join the royals in encouraging young people to pursue careers in horticulture. During the conversation, the king asked Beckham if he had "received his 50th birthday present," as reported by The Sun. The football icon reportedly replied: "That was incredible, thank you, that was very kind." Queen Camilla (77) then reportedly gave a small hint about the mysterious present: "Nice to see you again, I'm glad you got the roses."
David Beckham has been an ambassador for the King's Foundation for almost a year. At the Chelsea Flower Show, the two men's close ties were once again evident. Footage from the event shows them laughing and engaged in lively conversation.
