Pietro Lombardi and Laura Maria Rypa: Couple shares impressions of Amelio's baptism

As planned, the baptism of the youngest son of singer Pietro Lombardi (33) and his fiancée Laura Maria Rypa (29) took place on June 15. The little boy was baptized in the presence of close family and friends – but the couple still revealed some details to the public.

That evening, the couple posted a photo on Instagram depicting the big moment of Amelio's baptism. Pietro Lombardi held his son. "An unforgettable day full of love, warmth, and special moments," they captioned it. "With this step, a new chapter full of hope, trust, and closeness begins for him. May life accompany him with joy, courage, and security." The proud parents continued: "We are infinitely grateful to share this significant moment with the people who are dear to us."

In her Instagram story, Laura Maria Rypa revealed that her niece, her brother's daughter, was also baptized. "So it was a double baptism, which made the day even more meaningful. It was simply beautiful, very emotional, and full of love." She will forever treasure this day, which couldn't have been more beautiful.

Amelio was born in August 2024. His brother Leano (2), the couple's first son, has also already been baptized. As has Alessio, Lombardi's son from his divorced marriage to Sarah Engels (32), born in the summer of 2015. "For us as a Catholic family, the baptism is a very special moment," the former "DSDS" winner had previously explained in an interview with "Bild."

Now the singer's fans are waiting for another church celebration—his wedding to Laura Maria Rypa. It will "definitely" take place this year, as Lombardi confirmed to the newspaper at the beginning of May . However, the couple is still busy renovating their new home, so it might be a winter wedding.
