Slanted bangs: Will they make a comeback this year?

Slanted bangs: Will they make a comeback this year?

If you look around on the street on any given evening in London, Berlin, or New York, you'd almost think it's2010 —not 2025. Jeans are back in extremely low-rise shape; coats are back to parka-style; skirts are worn over trousers. I even saw someone recently wearing a dupe of the Alexander McQueen skull scarf. You get the drift. The 2000s trend has evolved from the occasional kitschy rhinestone top and ironic Juicy Couture tracksuit to a permanent fixture in everyday clothing—only with iPhones instead of flip phones .

Also, the side bangs, which were so dominant in the 2000s and early 2010s that a middle parting would have immediately exposed you as an outsider, are appearing more and more frequently. Millennials will surely remember a time when side bangs became so extreme that you looked like you had combed all your hair to one side.

And then it disappeared in the mid -2010s , making way for straight bangs, center parts, and wolf cuts. It even got to the point where side bangs were almost frowned upon, a sign of being an "uncool millennial" who once chose a haircut and never changed it. With the return of skinny jeans, ballet flats, and peplum tops, which had also largely disappeared from the scene for a few years, it looks like we're in the midst of a 2010s comeback.

These stars are already hinting at the revival of the slanted fringe

As mentioned, side bangs are becoming increasingly popular again. This isn't just an assertion; there are signs. Rihanna, the undisputed coolest person in the world, was spotted at the Cannes Film Festival last month with extremely side bangs, while Jennifer Lawrence – also in Cannes – sported a softer version at a photocall for her new film "Die My Love." Numerous videos featuring side bangs are currently circulating on social media – and this is likely just the beginning.
