According to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel has launched a targeted military operation in Iran "to push back the Iranian threat to Israel's survival."

Netanyahu said in a recorded speech: "This operation will last as many days as it takes to eliminate this threat." The military attacked several key targets of Iran's nuclear program.
