FW Paderborn: Head-on collision between two cars

Near the Home-Deluxe Arena exit, a head-on collision occurred between a Porsche and an Opel for reasons that are still unknown. Fortunately, both drivers were able to leave their vehicles independently before the fire department arrived. They received medical treatment from the emergency services. One patient had to be transported to a Paderborn hospital with minor injuries. Since it was initially unclear whether another person had been in the Opel Corsa, a drone with a thermal imaging camera was requested to search the immediate area. After the search and as the incident progressed, fears that another person was involved in the accident were dispelled. The fire department ensured fire protection and assisted the police with traffic control.

The B1 was temporarily completely closed for the duration of the operation.

The operation was completed after about 2 hours.

In total, there was one rescue and firefighting group vehicle (HLF), one command vehicle (ELW), as well as two ambulances (RTW), one emergency medical vehicle (NEF) and two small emergency vehicles (KEF) from the information and communication unit of the Hövelhof fire department with a total of 22 emergency personnel at the scene.
