The Berlin police have drawn a positive interim conclusion about the extra-long party weekend with several major events.

Berlin police initially satisfied with long party weekend
From the police's perspective, Saturday was a "very satisfactory day," said police spokesman Martin Stralau. At the Love Parade's successor, "Rave The Planet," 100,000 people marched along Straße des 17. Juni and in the surrounding areas, celebrating largely peacefully. The approximately 33 "restrictive measures" during the event were apparently minor; according to the police spokesperson, they involved assaults and street vendors selling illegal drinks.
According to the organizers, around 60,000 people were at the Lollapalooza Festival in Berlin's Olympic Stadium at the same time.
According to the police spokesperson, there were "no significant incidents" here, nor at the Formula E race on the grounds of the former Tempelhof Airport. Both of these events will continue on Sunday. Police were present in large numbers at all three events.
