Arnautis extends his contract as coach of Frankfurt's women's team until 2028
Niko Arnautis has been a coach in Frankfurt since 2017 - now the 45-year-old has received a new contract with the Eintracht women and at the same time a lot of praise from sporting director Markus Krösche.
Eintracht Frankfurt Women's team may have missed out on a major Bundesliga title last season. Coach Niko Arnautis, who led the Hesse team to first place for a time and made fans dream of the title, has nevertheless been rewarded. According to a statement on Tuesday, the 45-year-old's contract was prematurely extended for a further two years. Arnautis's new contract now runs until summer 2028.
Much praise from Krösche"We have consciously decided to continue on the path we have taken with Niko, to work with him long-term and to continue the positive development of the past years together," said sporting director Markus Krösche, who, in addition to squad planning for the men's professional team, is also responsible for the development of the women's team.

"The main goal is and remains to further develop players. Niko and his team have proven in recent years that they can improve players," said Krösche. "With his ability to lead a team, to emotionally engage people and their environment, and to lead the way, he is an excellent fit for Eintracht Frankfurt," added Katharina Kiel, the Eintracht women's technical director.
Arnautis remains loyal to the Eintracht womenArnautis, who has been coach at Frankfurt since 2017 and, after three years at his predecessor club, FFC Frankfurt, has been on the sidelines at Eintracht Frankfurt since 2020, is entering his ninth, tenth, and eleventh years of service. While he hasn't won a title during this time, his resume, with more than 200 competitive matches and three recent third-place finishes in the Bundesliga, is certainly impressive.
"I am convinced that we will continue to be successful in the future. I am extremely motivated to continue writing history," Arnautis was quoted as saying in the club's statement. "Eintracht Frankfurt is an absolute matter of the heart for me, so I didn't have to think long about whether I wanted to continue on this path."
