Florian Wirtz to Liverpool: 150 million deal close to completion

Leverkusen. The transfer of international football player Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool FC appears to be close to completion. According to information from Sky and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee, including bonuses, of up to €150 million.

According to reports, Wirtz, who still had a contract with Leverkusen until 2027, is now expected to complete his medical shortly and then sign his contract at Anfield. The young star will thus become the most expensive transfer of a German footballer.

According to recent media reports, Wirtz will immediately become one of Liverpool's top earners. Coach Arne Slot's team is expected to pay the German an annual salary of around €20 million. FC Bayern Munich was also desperate to sign Wirtz. The Munich club was even considered favorites for a long time, but then their offer was rejected.
