Football star Sara Däbritz steps down the aisle shortly before the European Championship
The Women's European Football Championship begins in Switzerland in just a few days. Shortly before, soccer player Sara Däbritz took the plunge and married.
Sara shared some photos from her romantic wedding in Tuscany on Instagram. She exchanged vows with her partner, Lukas Dotzler, in a dream of white, who himself wore an elegant gray suit. Their outdoor wedding location could hardly have been more romantic.
"A lifetime, hand in hand. S & L," Sara captioned the photos of their special day. "To everyone who helped us create these special moments – thank you so much. We felt the love in every single detail!"
According to " Bild, " the couple tied the knot in May, and the big celebration took place now. Lukas, also a soccer player, took Sara's last name and is now called Lukas Däbritz.
However, the newlyweds don't have much time to enjoy their newlywed bliss. Sara begins her preparations for the European Championships in Herzogenaurach on Thursday, June 26.
