It is the largest outdoor pool in Germany in terms of water surface and offers plenty of space for swimming, splashing, diving and sunbathing.

The Brentanobad is located in the heart of Frankfurt's Rödelheim district, nestled in a green oasis. With 14,500 square meters of water surface and a 220-meter pool length, it's more reminiscent of a lake than a traditional outdoor pool—only with crystal-clear water.

The Bäder Betriebe Frankfurt (BBF) calls the outdoor pool "Frankfurt's Mediterranean in Rödelheim" and describes the spacious pool as "probably unique in Europe." It was designed to harmoniously blend various zones for sports, fun, and relaxation.

Families with children will find shallow entry areas that create a "beach feeling." For the safety of non-swimmers, the pool is enclosed by a barrier at a depth of 1.35 meters. A new, wide slide awaits visitors in the swimming area. Another slide in the non-swimmer area provides additional fun.

In summer, a refreshing swim is just the thing – but which outdoor pool in Germany is best suited for this?

The bathing area gently transitions into a park-like landscape. Old trees provide shade. Instead of crowded loungers, spacious lawns invite you to linger. Anyone looking for a quiet spot is sure to find it. The entire area covers 110,000 square meters, or about the size of 15 soccer fields. The restaurant, beach area, and beach volleyball court with three courts combine to create a truly vacation-like atmosphere.

The paddling pool, located a little further away, is equipped with various play modules. Sunshades provide shade for the little ones. There's also a children's playground.
