From the creators of broken-in boots, here comes the $10,000 Balenciaga sandals… for going barefoot.

Patotas District.- Balenciaga has just launched sandals for over 10,000 pesos that offer buyers a unique experience: going barefoot in style.
The famous French fashion house continues to innovate the industry, and this time it presented a new shoe called Zero Slip-On , which leaves the foot practically exposed, in case you thought bagel scalpers were the worst thing that could happen to capitalism.

Can you imagine spending hundreds of dollars on this ridiculousness?
I genuinely think they just make stuff like this to see exactly how dumb people are. pic.twitter.com/v6zIQA8uwe

Let's remember that this isn't the first time Balenciaga has presented a garment that looks like a joke with a luxury label. They've already done so with pants that looked like tatters and boots that looked like they'd survived three apocalypses. But now they've crossed a new threshold: selling shoes that aren't shoes.
The Zero model is a unisex shoe, with a minimalist design to the point of absurdity, which completely distances itself from any traditional form... and also from minimal care for the sole of the foot.
According to Balenciaga, this shoe “distills footwear to its essence, offering a new take on everyday items, but taken to a very extreme level in terms of design.” The Zero Slip-On is made of EVA foam, a lightweight and flexible material—an elegant understatement for not saying it's the same material used to make flea market sandals.
The Zero Sneaker from Fall 25 collection is reduced to its most minimal form—a slip-on sole with a lightweight molded construction for a barefoot feel.

The shoe doesn't have traditional laces or closures. Instead, it's held in place by a heel cup and a strap that hugs the big toe, resulting in an aesthetic that, in simpler terms, feels very much like wearing nothing at all.
As we mentioned, the model costs $10,800 pesos and is now available on the official Balenciaga website. You can also get a similar experience by going out barefoot, but without the French logo.
And in other important news: this was the private concert that the group "Malcriada" gave us at the Deforma studio.eldeforma
