Murderers leave a gruesome message in the pocket of Harold Aroca, a minor found dead and tortured in Bogotá.

The body of Harold Aroca García , a 16-year- old eighth-grader at a Bogotá school, was found dead in a wooded area in the Los Laches region. He showed clear signs of violence and, according to authorities, signs of possible torture carried out moments before his death.

The young man was reported missing on August 6 , after having gone to the Los Laches neighborhood the day before. The last time he was seen, he was at a micro-soccer field , wearing a red jacket and coat, along with a soccer uniform , white and blue sneakers , and black and yellow socks .

After several days of exhaustive searching by his mother and relatives, it was confirmed on August 10 that he had been found. According to his mother's statements, Aroca was murdered and showed signs of having been tortured . The Attorney General's Office took over the investigation and proposed various theories.

Authorities indicated that the crime could be connected to a revenge plot between two criminal organizations involved in drug trafficking , in which the minor was apparently used . However, the mother denies this version and claims that the incident could be related to comments her son made at school , in which he claimed to know the alleged perpetrator of a murder .

While examining the body, investigators found a note in one of his pockets with a message that read: "Hahaha. That's what he gets for being a snitch." This could be a crucial element in the investigation.

During the time the young man was missing, his loved ones received messages from his cell phone and even a call from a stranger saying he had been "taken away due to an inconvenience." Triangulation of the device's most recent signal led law enforcement to an area dominated by criminal gangs , where an armed conflict had erupted.

According to the mother, they also received a message on social media instructing them to search the forest for the site where the body was ultimately found.
