Renfe has launched two special train services in each direction between the Spanish capital and Zamora, within the Madrid-Galicia high-speed line, whose traffic has been interrupted as a result of the fires in the surrounding area.
According to sources from Renfe who informed EFE this Saturday, four services have been activated: two from Madrid to Zamora - which will depart at 1:20 p.m. and 7:17 p.m. - and two others in the opposite direction, which will depart from the capital of Zamora at 2:36 p.m. and 8:11 p.m.
These services to assist affected commuters were announced after the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, confirmed that service on that route will not resume this Saturday due to the fire.
On the other hand, he reported that the section between Vilamartín de Valdeorras (Ourense) and Montefurado (Lugo) is also closed due to the fires , and all medium- and long-distance services have been affected.

Renfe is also monitoring the restoration of service on the Herradón/La Cañada and Ávila sections , which were cut off by another fire, which is now under control. The fire is being monitored to ensure that no damage has been caused to the infrastructure.
Renfe has recommended that travelers consult official channels for real-time updates and travel alternatives before setting out.
